The 6 Pinion Steel Overdrive Planetary Gear Set is a must have upgrade for your 47RH or 47RE. The factory transmission is equipped with either a 4 or 5 pinion planetary. This planet is known to gaul and shed gear teeth causing either noise complaints or a complete overdrive section failure. The 6 pinion setup increases load capacity and is at a 15 degree which insures quiet operation. This item is also a direct replacement if you need to replace your overdrive geartrain on a 48RE transmission.
