Engine Remanufacturing

DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother-running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

Engine Upgrades

The Street Series engine features improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas and OptiTorque or ARP series 2000 head studs.

Cylinder Head

DFC replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. Instead of just a re-grinding older valves, DFC installs all new valves from high-quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory-hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

Warranty

DFC engines are remanufactured by diesel enthusiasts and are built for diesel enthusiasts. To show their pride in workmanship, DFC offers one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry. Each DFC Street Series Long Block Engine comes standard with a 5-year, 100,000-mile warranty (Non-Commercial).

The DFC Long Block has all rockers and pushrods preset to factory specifications and includes a remanufactured cylinder head, internal components, front & rear cover, oil pan, and the complete gasket kit for long block installation.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items – Sold Separately):

Oil Cooler – highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.

Injectors – highly recommended especially on higher model engines or engines with contaminated fuel.

Turbocharger – recommended if mileage over 125K, mandatory if shaft play, or if engine was dusted.

Water Pump – highly recommended if engine has over 125K.

Evans Waterless Coolant – recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion and boilover.

The specific brand of each component may change due to part availability at the time of each build. Parts are chosen at the discretion of DFC and cannot be specially requested. DFC uses only the best components sourced from multiple brands during the remanufacturing process and backs their engines with an industry-leading 5-year 100,000 mile warranty.
