Compared to the 1.1″ 12v tappets they have a wider face but are not much heavier. The wider surface area will allow them to spread loading better. With today’s inferior oils this is a major benefit. They are lighter than the 1.5″ Common rail tappets and will fit in all years. The 1.5″ tappet will rub a the factory 12-valve fuel pump eccentric. A Hamilton cam must be used on the 12-valve trucks while using these tappets.
