Icon’s tubular upper control arms are constructed from CNC-bent 1026 DOM steel tubing and finished with a semi-gloss black powder coat for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. These control arms are engineered with built-in caster correction for optimal alignment, ensuring confidence-inspiring handling. The major benefit of pairing Icon upper control arms with 2.0 or 2.5 series shock absorbers is a nearly 50% increase in wheel travel, significantly enhancing both performance and ride quality for your GM HD truck.

These upper control arms incorporate Icon’s patented Delta Joint—a heavy-duty, high-angle ball joint that merges the durability of a ball joint with the performance of a traditional uni-ball. While standard uni-balls allow for articulation with little bind, they are vulnerable to exposure in daily driving conditions. The Delta Joint, featuring a zinc-plated housing and a durable grease seal, provides superior corrosion resistance while keeping harmful elements out. The metal-on-metal construction and greaseable design also ensure longevity and noise-free operation. This joint offers the robustness of a ball joint with the greater angularity of a uni-ball, making it ideal for both off-road and everyday driving.

For compatibility, Icon now only offers GM 2500HD/3500HD upper control arms in complete systems with Icon shock absorbers. The included V.S. 2.5 Series shocks are specifically tuned for your application to provide exceptional off-road performance and a smooth street ride. These shocks are 100% rebuildable and re-valvable. Icon’s innovative use of a 6061-billet aluminum manifold below the shock’s top cap creates an internal Bump Zone, which generates an additional 20% of damping force to prevent harsh bottom-outs and improve suspension control at high velocities.
