Issues such as excessive temperatures, over-speeding of the turbo, a lack of lubrication, oil contamination, or worn seals can slowly cause damage to the turbo in your Chevy/GMC.

Common signs of turbocharger failure can include a significant loss of power, decreased fuel economy, noisy operation, excessive smoke, increased oil consumption, or a check engine light. XDP Xpressor Turbo (Remanufactured Stock Replacement) XD556 follow a comprehensive remanufacturing process to ensure it meets O.E. specifications. Each turbocharger begins with a complete disassembly. Once disassembled into the individual components, each part is thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

Next, checks are performed for microscopic damage at the housing, compressor, turbine wheels, and rotating assembly. Before reassembly, all bearing surfaces are precision machined. The wheels and rotating assemblies are balanced to OEM specifications. All critical wear parts such as seals, thrust plates, bearings, and fasteners are replaced.

A 100 percent end-of-line testing is performed through the full RPM range along with a NVH analysis to ensure the highest quality turbochargers and components. In addition, hot gas stand and burst test validations are done as well as hydraulic and pneumatic leak testing.
