Engine Remanufacturing

DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.

Engine Upgrades

Each 5.9L Street Series engine comes standard with ARP or OptiTorque head studs (based on availability). The Street Series engine features improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas and has a multi-layer steel head gasket.

Cylinder Head

DFC replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. Instead of just a re-grinding old valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.

The DFC Long Block has all rockers and pushrods preset to factory specifications and includes a remanufactured cylinder head, internal components, front & rear cover, oil pan, and the complete gasket kit for long block installation.

New Engine Checklist (Replacement Items, Sold Separately):

Oil Cooler – highly recommended and mandatory if your past engine had a bearing failure.

Injectors – highly recommended especially on higher mileage engines or engines with contaminated fuel.

Turbocharger – recommended if mileage over 125K miles, mandatory if shaft play is present, or if engine was dusted.

Water Pump – highly recommended if engine has over 125K miles.

Evans Waterless Coolant – recommended upgrade to prevent corrosion, boilover, and all-around a better cooling system performance.
